The 'App Store' for Your Wii

The original Homebrew Browser servers have long been offline, but the Open Shop Channel (OSC) project has revived this essential tool. It serves as a community-driven repository where you can download, update, and discover Wii homebrew directly on your console.

How to Install

  1. Download the Homebrew Browser (OSC Edition) pack.
  2. Ensure your SD card has an /apps/ folder.
  3. Extract the homebrew_browser folder to your SD card's /apps/ directory.
  4. Launch the app via the Homebrew Channel.

First Launch

The first time you open the browser, it will download a massive database of icons, descriptions, and metadata. This can take several minutes. Once the progress bar finishes, you can browse through categories like Emulators, Games, and Utilities with a simple point-and-click interface.

Why Use OSC?

OSC eliminates the need to remove your SD card and use a PC for every minor app update. It also includes modern homebrew that wasn't available during the original Wii lifecycle, keeping your modded console fresh in 2024 and beyond.
