CTGP Revolution is widely regarded as one of the greatest Nintendo fan projects ever made. Originally released by MrBean35000vr in 2010 and continually updated ever since, it transforms Mario Kart Wii into a virtually endless racing experience by adding over 200 community-made custom tracks on top of the original 32.
Installation is straightforward: load the ISO through Riivolution or USB Loader GX with the CTGP SD card files in place. The mod preserves every feature of the original game including online play via Wiimmfi, time trials with a full online leaderboard, and the full single-player cup structure. Custom tracks are sorted into new cups alongside Nintendo originals, and the quality ranges from faithful recreations of courses from other Mario Kart games to completely original designs.
What sets CTGP apart from other distributions is its polish. Tracks go through a community review process before inclusion, keeping the overall quality bar high. Popular highlights include SNES Rainbow Road, Mushroom Gorge 2, and dozens of tracks inspired by real-world locations. If you are going to install one mod for Mario Kart Wii, this is the one.
