The Metroid Prime Randomizer patches the GameCube or Wii version of Metroid Prime to redistribute every item pickup, suit expansion, and power-up into a random location. The result is a logic puzzle layered over one of the best games ever made.
Multiple logic modes are included. Standard logic ensures the game is always completable without glitches. Tricks logic introduces speedrunning techniques as valid routing options. A community Discord and race scene has formed around regular seed competitions.
Setup requires the Metroid Prime ISO and the patcher tool from the Metroid Prime Randomizer GitHub page. The Prime Randomizer is often cited alongside ALTTP Rando as one of the definitive examples of a well-designed randomizer.
