About the Game

A Native PC Port of The Minish Cap

A native PC port of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap has arrived, built from the game’s decompilation project. This is not emulation. The decompilation reverse-engineers the original GBA game into C source code, which is then compiled into a native PC binary running directly on Windows and Linux.

Two Parallel Builds

Two versions dropped simultaneously. The upstream tmc project by 999sian is the experimental decomp build (v0.1.0), while auto-tmc by ItsDeidara packages it into a ready-to-run Windows executable. Both are available on GitHub.

Early Stage

This is an early experimental release. Known issues include segfaults in certain areas, missing audio in places, and some rendering gaps. You need to provide your own legally-sourced USA baserom.gba to build or run it.

Key Features

  • Native PC binary, not emulation
  • Windows and Linux support
  • auto-tmc provides a ready-to-run Windows build
  • Built from the tmc GBA decompilation project
  • Requires your own USA Minish Cap GBA ROM
