What Could Be Announced
Several major titles have been circling rumour territory for weeks. Here is what the current chatter is pointing toward.
Ocarina of Time has been one of the most discussed Switch 2 expectations for months. Whether it arrives as a standalone remaster, an NSO expansion, or a full remake is unknown, but some form of Ocarina acknowledgement feels overdue.
Splatoon Raiders has been rumoured as a new Splatoon entry, possibly a spin-off with a different structure than the numbered mainline games. Given Splatoon 3’s lifecycle is winding down, a successor announcement makes sense.
Fire Emblem Fortune Weave has been circling in rumour space as the next mainline Fire Emblem entry. The series has been quiet since Engage, and a Direct would be the natural stage for a proper reveal.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Definitive Edition has appeared in enough places now that it feels close. XC2 is the only major Xenoblade title without a definitive release, and the Switch 2 upgrade momentum makes this a natural fit.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 on Switch 2 would be a crowd-pleaser, possibly with new content or GameShare support taking advantage of the hardware.
Nintendo Switch Online updates are also on the table. New system additions or Game Boy Advance expansions have been hinted at, and a Direct is the obvious venue for that kind of announcement.
