Ship of Harkinian is a native PC port of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, rebuilt from the original N64 code for modern hardware. It adds 60fps, widescreen, a built-in randomizer, and dozens of quality-of-life options.

What You Need
- A Windows, Mac, or Linux PC
- A legal copy of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64 ROM from a cartridge you own)
- The latest Ship of Harkinian release from GitHub
Ship of Harkinian contains no Nintendo game data. You must supply your own ROM. No ROM sources are provided here.
Step 1: Download Ship of Harkinian
Visit the official GitHub releases page and download the latest build for your platform. Extract it to a permanent folder such as C:\Games\ShipOfHarkinian.
Step 2: Generate the OTR File
Launch OTRGui.exe included in the download and point it to your Ocarina of Time ROM. It generates an oot.otr asset file. This takes about 30 seconds and only needs to be done once.
Step 3: Launch the Game
Run soh.exe with oot.otr in the same folder. The game starts immediately.
Step 4: Explore the Enhancements Menu
Ship of Harkinian includes 60fps support, widescreen, a built-in randomizer, cosmetic options, auto-save, faster text, and extensive accessibility options – all accessible from the in-game menu.
Step 5: Configure Controls
The port supports keyboard, Xbox, PlayStation, and GameCube controllers. Button mapping is fully customisable from the controller settings menu.
Troubleshooting
- OTR generation fails – check the supported ROM hash list on the GitHub page
- Game crashes on launch – make sure both
soh.exeandoot.otrare in the same directory - Audio issues – try switching the audio backend in the settings menu
